Himalaya Mentat improves and enhances the functioning of the brain. Mental quotient, the memory span, the ability to concentrate and the ability to bear stress are improved.

How it is taken

The ideal dosage for Mentat is 1 to 2 tablets daily. It is a progressive formulation which will require several weeks to show its full benefit. So ensure that you use it for the full duration of treatment.

Drug Class & Mechanism

Mentat is a mental fitness formula that improves mental functions by a modulation of the cholinergic and GABAergic neurotransmission. By restoring the frontal cortical muscarinic and cholinergic receptor activities, Mentat improves the mental quotient, memory span, and concentration ability and stress threshold. Mentat helps to reduce the level of tribulin, an endogenous Mono Amine Oxidase inhibitor that is elevated in various levels of anxiety.

Missed Dosage

If you miss a dose of Mentat and you are on a regular dosage, then take it as soon as you remember. You may also choose to skip it and continue with your normal dosage. But do not take a double dose ever.

Storage

Store it at room temperature (between between 68 and 77 degrees F (20 and 25 degrees C) in an air tight container protecting it from direct exposure to light, heat and moisture. Keep away from pets and children.

Warnings/Precautions

If you are planning to undergo any major surgical procedure, then you need to stop using Mentat, at least 15 days in advance.

If you are pregnant or breast feeding, then consult your doctor for more information regarding using Mentat.

Possible Side Effects

Mentat does not show any side effects if taken according to the prescribed dosage.
